About

Landscape architecture in Hawai’i is an act of listening, honoring native ecologies while shaping spaces that feel effortless, enduring, and deeply connected to place.

Molly Scheufler

Scheufler Landscape Architecture is a landscape architecture studio founded in 2021 and led by Molly Scheufler. The practice is informed by Molly’s professional experience at RMG Hawaii, where she worked on a wide range of residential and hospitality projects across the Hawaiian Islands. This background has shaped a deep understanding of place, climate, and cultural context, allowing the studio to approach each project with a strong sense of site specificity and environmental responsibility.

The studio’s vision centers on creating landscapes that feel natural, intentional, and deeply connected to their surroundings. Scheufler Landscape Architecture places a strong emphasis on the use of native and adaptive plant species, promoting ecological resilience while enhancing the beauty and clarity of each space. The design philosophy seeks a careful balance between nature and architecture—crafting clean, elegant landscapes that integrate seamlessly with the built environment, respect the local ecosystem, and enrich the overall experience of place.

The Studio

We are a small, warm team of three, working from a home-based studio with a highly personal and collaborative approach. The practice values close relationships and thoughtful processes, beginning each project by visiting and understanding the site firsthand. By engaging directly with the land, the team develops clear, sensitive landscape solutions that are both well-integrated and carefully considered.
